20180118: Umbrellas work great all over the world. They aren't of very high quality, but I didn't expect more for the price. The umbrella's central metal shaft is really short, but it works. Another 6 inches would be nice. The center pole is a hollow thin metal tube, so don't crush or cut it. Also, the end cap is just a small metal button that is inserted into a metal tube. Stand with a metal spring in the umbrella holder (to increase friction and prevent the umbrella from falling out). The small button at the end of the shade came loose when the shade was first removed from the holder. Several photos were taken with umbrellas, which they use instead of lightboxes. The results are comparable and they are much easier to install. Also, these umbrellas are very light, which is a plus for portability (although this also means they will break if not handled gently). . For occasional use, this is a great purchase. If you intend to use frequently, you may need something more permanent.
