I bought these to attach my ladders to my van's ladder rack. I carry a total of four ladders, two on each side of the rack. The straps are easy to use, hold them securely and are easy to remove. I bought 2 x 60 inches. I found them too long to secure two ladders stacked on top of each other and 40 inch ladders work much better. I'm in Minnesota where they've been out the whole time in wind (70 mph+), rain, snow, ice, salt and sun.
