Works great. Turns on instantly if/when you turn off the light in the room. Makes good light. Light reflects off hot and neutral candles creating a cool silhouette effect. It also has great security features. It's in an "off" position, so you'll need to reset it as soon as you turn the device back on. However, it won't reset if it detects you've connected it incorrectly. (For example, if you connect a hotline to the hot load side, it will not reset). Ensure you understand the line and load side(s) when connecting downstream non-GFI outlets to ensure GFI protection. It would be nice to have an infinite dimmer (which is missing as far as I know); Sometimes it's too bright (especially when you walk into a room and because of its location you look straight into it. Problem with deer in headlights if your vision is set to night. If you can choose a place to look at it by yourself while walking can in the room it's perfect you can put a piece of translucent tape over the led to dim the brightness i didn't have to do this due to my location ymmv
