edit: it's rusty. (Best coffee maker I've ever used. Will last a lifetime.) Yes. no

cancel this review. It's very badly rusted on the inside of the stove that meets the stove. dangerous product. also leaves a silver metallic substance floating on the water surface after use. looks like lead, maybe chrome. Who knows. a bad metal finish will stretch differently than steel, or it's just heavy because it's full of lead. I can not say. Please do not risk your health by purchasing this product. Solid part Very thick steel base that heats up well without warping Still doesn't rust Good steel Works quickly but is best used at lower temperatures as the silicone seal stinks Coffee tastes great .Design.Absolutely crazy details There is an internal shaft that which catches the powder on the bottom and works like a Swiss watch with a curved case. You just can't pour that powdery liquid without almost turning the thing on its side, but it gives all the coffee I'm very impressed with. I give it three stars for one reason. Removable inner filter plate with holes (can be used for half a coffee pot). which somehow deformed during brewing and the handle popped out. The little handle was aluminum so deformed and would never go back in. difficult to install the filter mesh without this handle. and not easy to empty the old coffee. but it was rarely used. Due to the smooth surface and round shape, the top can be difficult to unscrew and if not tightened properly, it will leak. but yes. best pot I've ever used. went through many, including leading aluminum brands. this thing enters them all into history. never go back to al. the steel is also food safe. It's not aluminum. it sucks the material into the body. So don't worry, only the aluminum bit fell off. I think just replace it with a steel screw.)

Pros
  • nice to use
Cons
  • too stupid
