I bought this for my early 2011 Macbook Pro. One day I heard a buzzing sound like something was spinning and obviously slowing down and burning. Having just replaced my HDD and SSD, I knew it had to be the fan. My laptop was noisy for a while and the fan would come on quite often (I use a lot of RAM and CPU intensive programs like Photoshop, Lightroom). and premiere). This fan fitted right where the old one was and connected to the motherboard with no issues. It took me longer to unscrew the bottom panel of my laptop than it did to replace the fans. Now my laptop is noticeably quieter when the fan is turned on and it seems more efficient as it turns on less often. I am happy with my purchase.
