Review on B&O PLAY A1 Portable Bluetooth Speaker: Superior Sound Quality in Sleek Black Design - One Size Fits All by Anil Jaimes

This is one of the easiest 5 star ratings I've ever given. This speaker is just fantastic. I would describe myself as "the audiophile next door". I'm a musician whose ears have evolved somewhat over time, but I'm not the kind of person who can bring himself to spend thousands of dollars on audio. (At least not now.) Before buying the Beoplay A1, my favorite audio product was definitely the HiFiMan 400S headphones. I love them and they make for a fantastic listening experience. Meanwhile, I didn't have any speaker options that even remotely matched their quality. I have a mid-range Pioneer stereo, a couple of Samson computer monitors, and a couple of cheap Bluetooth speakers. None of them are special. On the other hand, the Beoplay A1 is really something special. Its sound is incredibly clear, powerful and above all balanced. It's no secret that the trend of today's Bluetooth speakers is to boost the bass too much. And most of the time that means changing the character of the music depending on how it was mixed and mixed. This is not the case with A1. Its frequency response is surprisingly balanced across the spectrum, without any component - bass, mids or treble - sounding unnatural. The sound is just fantastic and comparable to headphones. In addition, the speaker is great. I chose moss green and it looks elegant and intriguing from every angle. It looks great on a table or hung on a hook. While I wouldn't call the Beoplay A1 'cheap', it represents excellent value for money considering how much high-end speakers cost. You can spend a lot more money for a lot worse quality. Instead, I suggest buying one of these. I think you will quickly find, like me, that the money was well spent.
