I've never used a dandruff shampoo before but I was having problems and needed something that wouldn't wash out my dyed red hair. I chose this because it had good reviews in some articles I read, but it was so bad for my hair! When I first used it my hair still felt tangled in the shower while washing it off. I couldn't run my fingers through it. I used a ton of conditioner, but I could see that after drying, my hair looked dry and brittle. I air dry so I can't imagine how bad blow drying my hair would look! The second time I tried to just keep it on the scalp and not the length of my hair which is pretty coarse, but I still came out of the shower with dry, brittle hair. My husband said it was normal for dandruff shampoos to dry out my hair but after 2 uses I threw them away and tried some natural products that wouldn't damage my hair permanently.
