I always prefer a smart base layer as we spend a lot of time in the snow and winter sports in the mountains. The last thing I want to worry about is my son getting cold. Since he is 10 and destroys everything, I decided on the cheaper option. I was not disappointed. They are softer and thicker than usual but not too thick. Washes well, rich color. i order more They are just as good as the more expensive versions.
