Review on Oster 6706 Blender: High-performance 6-Cup 450-Watt, 10-Speed Black Blender by Carrie Williams

I use this primarily for protein drinks and meal replacements. The machine has the main functions High & Low Blend, Liquefy, Pulse, Grind & Ice Crusher. It definitely crushes ice and makes great smoothies. Just crush the ice gradually, not all at once, and you won't end up with ice crumbs. Powdered drinks tend to get stuck under the blade where they don't mix, so I gradually pour in the liquid as well. I mostly have powders at the bottom, which is very wasteful as most drinks are expensive. The lid is flexible and the top twists off easily to add more liquid or ice. The machine has more power than the tank can handle, so leave it on when using it. It doesn't snap to the base even if you rotate it to connect. Blades are sharp, keep clean. Apart from the problem with the powder, this is a very good blender, I've been using it daily for more than a month. I only gave it 3 stars because of the powder sticking issue.
