The color was a little muddier than I expected. I almost didn't open it because I was going to return it. But we decided to give it a shot. I can't believe it fit so well. We have a peacock blue velvet sofa and loveseat. Although the color wasn't as vibrant, it was close enough. The sofa and loveseat are normal sizes, but the arms come up and meet the back if that makes sense. In other words, the corners of the backrest meet the ends of the arms. I was amazed that this cover fit this weirdly-shaped couch! We didn't like the foam rolls that are supposed to keep the cover pressed down into the crevices. They don't work for this sofa. They probably work for other couches, just not ours. We have bolsters for those areas, so it's not a problem. The straps are very helpful though. We have not yet seen how well it protects the sofa underneath. If we see that the dog hair isn't getting through, I'll happily change my rating to a 5 despite the foam rolls not working. I'm pleasantly surprised by these. Take the risk. They're really nice!
