Great upgrade for Vivofit 4

While I like my sturdy and informative Vivofit 4, I wasn't a fan of parking a rubber-cased gym machine on my right hand, considering I wear a rather fancy Swiss watch on my left hand, and I often dress smarter for work. It makes no sense to leave a fitness tracker at home, but at the same time I often wanted to "spice up” my device for health. This case did it! Recently I noticed that my rubber band had already started to tear and needed replacing and after seeing this option I decided to give it a try. I'm not exactly sure about the "leather" claim here as the strap didn't have any markings to suggest it was leather, but in any case my only complaint about it was that the strap didn't work for me liked it very much. It was a flimsy, flimsy feel, a bit flashy and cheap. Also, the end kept coming out of the bracket and dangling. The case is a great, very smart unit though, keeping the Garmin well built on the inside and attractive on the outside. Given my experience with watches, I figured why not just get a new strap? The lugs are 18mm so I went with an 18mm Hadley Roma MS881 watch strap with a short oiled brown and black liner. This part of the case is quite wide (more than 65mm because it wraps around the wrist). To further improve it I ordered a stainless steel iStrap butterfly clasp (16mm) and replaced the pin and clasp of the Hadley Roma strap. , with very little investment and little tweaking, the end result was impressive. I now wear a much more upscale fitness band, more like an expensive smartwatch. I'm very pleased and surprised that Garmin didn't offer anything similar. While rubber is fine for summer or everyday wear, it's nice to be able to disguise this device. And given how quickly the rubber strap began to tear, the metal case and padded, waterproof leather strap make this set last much longer. It's also extremely comfortable and the deployment element means less wear and tear on the strap itself. So a bit of my own creation but I'm happy with my final product and this case was key in getting the final product. It might work as is but I just didn't like the strap so I settled on the mods I chose. Thank you for reading. I hope this helped. :)
