Flows are pretty simple with one VERY important step, which is .

This is a fast industrial machine for the serious sewer enthusiast. It runs in parallel with my 4-threaded Juki serger.varooom! Threading is fairly easy with a VERY important step that isn't mentioned in the instructions but has been mentioned a few times on the internet when I was desperate for a way to avoid the upper thread getting stuck in the nob tension remains. Magic in the foot pedal. Thread up with the pedal. This will separate the tension discs and allow the thread to pass easily between the discs. Then while sewing, avoid using the knee lifter to half raise the presser foot to push the fabric out of the temptation. Instead of lifting the presser foot with your hand or knee, raise it all the way to its highest position. Despite the above troubleshooting, why didn't I give the car 5 stars? The automatic thread is poorly laid out. I'm not sure why Brother doesn't use the same technique as the other models. With this model, you definitely need to watch the video to understand what to do. And once you've figured out how to gently tug on the thread with your left hand to hook the thread to the threading teeth hidden somewhere in that little claw-like thing, when the device works its magic, it breaks the thread a bit in the process . I'm not sure how this performance passed the quality check. As in other reviews, the thread cutter cuts too short and you end up having to rethread halfway through. If the thread threatens to fall out of the needle, it can sometimes be saved by lifting the sewing foot all the way up again, opening the tension disc and pulling out the thread with the tweezers. I also prefer the coil insert. You just can't see what's going on with the side coil. And there is no indicator that you have run out of thread. Overall I'm happy with the machine after troubleshooting the tension. This is a great addition to the Juki server and Brother embroidery machine that has all the fancy stitches.
