I'm a big cyclist. I don't race professionally or compete in any events, but I use my bike at least five times a week to commute and run errands. A good flashlight is essential at night, not only because it's the law, but because it's the safest way to see and be seen. I've switched flashlight after flashlight and will buy one of these again. The brightness can't be compared to any bike front light I've had before. Not the widest beam I've ever had, but undoubtedly the strongest and widest. The lamp is incredibly bright and there are many options for brightness and flash speed. The charging speed is long, but the battery capacity is also impressive. The power button lets you know if you're riding on a decent charge or almost empty. It's not perfect, but it's probably the best in the price range, as it's easy to charge via micro-USB. The hull is built quite solidly. It's made of some kind of hard plastic that feels pretty heavy. I also had a problem with the mount. This is a fairly standard headlight mount, but the guiding mechanism is not reliable. The light has hit me more times than I can count, and once it hits enough, the shell will fall apart in a certain way. The silicone mounting holes also parted until all but the last one, farthest from the buckle, remained. The flashlight was very loose on my bike, although it still tilted up when I went over a bump. This isn't an unbreakable flashlight, but it's pretty durable. It can withstand multiple rides in the rain and survive multiple high-speed falls of about three to four feet. It won't fall apart; You'll know when he's beaten. Overall, I can recommend the lamp. I've looked for alternatives but none seem to beat it in this price range. The rail mechanism makes it easy to attach and detach, and USB charging instead of a dumb DC wall charger is just what I needed for my use case.
