In my experience this set is the best option if your key shell has been damaged. I tried epoxying the original, which looked terrible and was only minimally functional. When it arrived I was confused as to how to put the old key blade in that spot. I've read of people grinding and sawing off old plastic. Pooh. Then I realized I always keep a jar of Goof Off in my cleaning supplies. I put some in an empty baby food jar and dip the plastic end of the key blade in the solution overnight. It came off easily the next day and the blade fit neatly into the mount included in the kit. No need to find a locksmith to drill the blade! Everything fit perfectly!
