Very simple universal diagnostics for the general public. With this software you can get some general information about codes but not specific information. Acceptable for the price. Use it in read-only mode. This software is not safe for clearing codes as it can permanently damage the Engine Control Module (ECM). Update March 4, 2019 This does not work. They trusted the company and bought another one that only worked once. Be aware they scam you after asking you to pay more for another key and so on and so on. Trying to contact a company is as bad as walking through a fire. Actually I have not one but 2 OBDLink SX X0004U2RZ3 PIN: 425801 and many other numbers and codes just to convince you they are serious. In fact, every time you run the program and connect it to the car, it stops working and asks you to get new codes that hide from you to pay more and more. Software with a great display is dangerous for your car. During a shutdown the CPU may be affected and failing to attempt to clear codes as this may result in irreversible damage to the CPU, EMC and ECU. I revised both and OBDLink SX stopped asking for my money. The purchased multi-system scanner i980 works great for Mercedes, Audi, BMW, but also for American cars. The computer is not needed, it receives error codes, and if the car is ready for an emissions test, the message will not contain error codes. My sons-in-law tested 2006 Chrysler Town & Country with OBDLink SX and they refused to test and asked for more codes (MONEY). Used i980, misfire found in cylinder #4. Checked for sparks and found defective pack coil. I bought a new one in the store, swapped it out the same day and it was ready to use the next day. Reset both OBDLink SX and forget about them once and for all. Finally, OBDLink SX cannot provide the transmission oil temperature required to change the transmission oil.
