Great filler even if you're lazy! I've been using this pen for a few months now and love it even more than the first time I gave it a 5 star rating! It clumps very well (meaning it sets well). So if you are unhappy with it sticking to your toilet walls I suggest using a toilet liner. Then, at the end of the month, you simply take the insert out of the box and throw it in the trash. However, I disagree with the manufacturer's recommendation of only scooping twice a week. This will work, but it's not good for your cat to constantly walk into a dirty, smelly box where debris can stick to their paws and then get into their mouth. Any seasoned cat lover will agree that you need to scoop at least once a day and possibly more often depending on how often your cat uses it. In general, I change the bed completely every month. But since I was on a recent business trip, I haven't changed it for six weeks, and it didn't smell at all (perhaps due to my frequent scooping).
