At first I forgot there were two settings. You can barely see the headlights warmer ahead. Red is hot and blue is lower. You have to go through a cycle to switch off. Dangerously, there's no illuminated power button at the top to remind you it's on. Several times I wanted to put a cup in the dishwasher and forgot to turn it off. Although there is an automatic shut off after eight hours, I have cats that love to hop around and given the heat stepping on it could burn them. Or I could accidentally put something on it and burn it. And finally, it doesn't save my tea. Not even warm! I don't understand why, because the oven gets very hot. I'm just so tired of cool tea. A complete waste of money. I bought another heater that really works. I recommend one with an automatic switch that lights up when you turn it on. There are much better products out there for the same price.
