I ordered two of these lunch box thermoses for my kids because they asked for "hot food" for lunch at school. Both thermoses work very well. I fill them with very hot tap water while I cook the kid's meal, drain them, and then fill them with soup. The children say that the soup is still very warm when they have lunch 5-6 hours after I fill the thermos. They are easy to clean and I love that they aren't covered in cartoon characters - my 9 and 14 year olds wouldn't want to be seen in the dining room with something like that! Also, these thermoses hold very large portions, and I think the quality is way better than the cheaper types of containers I've seen in stores (although I bought them for almost half the price, which was great). Added: I've been using them for many months now and still love them. I sent my kids all sorts of hot meals for lunch, even pancakes and leftovers like fish, potatoes, pasta, meatballs, and burritos. When I ask my kids if their food was still hot, they always say yes. My kids rarely buy school lunches so this thermos really helps them not get tired of eating the same old lunch day after day.
