Review on Ryobi Strike Gauge Cordless Nailer by Justin Herman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

As Battery Pin Nagler Go

This one is pretty good. I tried Hitachi/Metabo and they didn't last more than a few jobs. I'm not going to spend the money Grex wants on theirs, so I need that until DeWalt gets it out there. Advantages: It's great that you no longer have to carry a compressor or hoses with you. Cons: The clamp feels brittle, but I've found this to be the case with most cordless nailers. After using it for a few jobs, it no longer fires with the tip. Thankfully it doesn't damage the finish, but I'm concerned about durability. It's heavy compared to an air pistol. Cordless nailers seem to break faster than pneumatic ones. Because of this, I still carry a compressor and hoses as a backup.
