The best remedy for foot abscess! After cleaning the abscess area in the hoof, place three or four tablespoons in a size 1 baby diaper, place on the underside of the hoof, fold the edges of the diaper around the hoof and heel pad, wrap the diaper with veterinary tape, and finally tape everything (bypass do not use the hair growth tape, otherwise you may cut off blood circulation). Cover the bottom of the hoof completely with strips of tape and finally wrap the hoof with tape. Stay in bed for several days and repeat if necessary. Pulls the infection right out of the hoof! I find it better than with sacchardin and cheaper. Can also be used as a wrap. I found it a bit difficult to keep my feet on the ground as it has a sticky texture that slips off when applied. You have to work at it somehow. The label is for use under lock and key and I used the sweatband for 3 days and it worked fine. Just make sure that the horse turns outwards when removing the bandage and does not remain standing in the stable or the swelling/inflammation will explode again. I MUST have this handy in my shed! love love this product! I've added a photo of one of my horses dressed up like an Epsom salts leg wrap should look like when finished. I know red and yellow are terrible but all I have left are windups and scotch!
