I wanted to try this tripod to see if it would help with overhead shots which are so common in YouTube videos where you can see what a person is doing on the device shown. And for that purpose, this thing is great. I can put my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the holder and it holds the phone very securely without slipping out of the holder or moving the gooseneck. It offers good stable capture for photos or videos, just what I wanted. The tripod is very light, and that can be a plus or a minus. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but that's really debatable. I would give 4.5 if I could. It's a pro if you want to carry this item around, and it comes with a carrying case for easy portability. But if you're looking for something heavier for stability, this probably isn't your tripod. The legs are pretty sturdy considering how light this thing is, but you could probably accidentally hit and knock it over, especially depending on how your gooseneck is tilted. However, since this tripod was designed for phones and not cameras, I tend to think the lightweight design was the right move. You might want to take it with you, but it's also easier to balance than a heavier camera loaded with lenses. Finally, I love the options that the gooseneck and expandability give you. I wanted it for close-up shots, but I can imagine that it rotates and extends, which opens up possibilities for creative shots that are otherwise possible with a standard tripod. I think this tripod is something that phone camera enthusiasts will want in their arsenal, and it's inexpensive enough to try and see what you can do with it.
