Not worth the price, time or effort
Threads are full color. I spent so much time cleaning them that I even put this part on the whistle. However, after I cleaned the threads, they didn't thread fully, meaning the hammer blows were spread across the entire thread and not on the top of the pipe where it's stronger. I messed up a piece of pipe and just switched to using a drive coupler and a fence post hammer and then a carefully aimed sledgehammer.
