I trust Aurifil, I use it for quilting all the time. I usually use 50 watts. I bought this 40wt and some 28wt to try free motion quilting. These 40 watt filaments are beautiful and come in green tubes to be used with the 40 watt Aurifil. Tubes 50 W orange. However, the manufacturer label below shows 40 watts for 4 of these and 50 watts for 2 of these. I. I really can't tell any difference between the wts without downloading them and putting them together and comparing a bit. I won't do that. Since I use Aurifil all the time, I will use these. I was just very surprised by the caption and frankly disappointed. If you're like me and don't mind too much, then go for it. If you're really after 40 watts, be aware that it may or may not be. Otherwise they are good and I will use them.
