As the name suggests, weight gain is not uncommon with this product as we do not know what it actually contains. Creatine is a fairly common and cheap product that is added or included in place of L-Carnitine. Within 1 week I grabbed 5 pounds. My diet hasn't changed and I've been exercising the same amount as before taking this product. After 4 weeks and a total gain of 7 pounds I stopped taking the product and within 2 weeks my weight was back to normal. It might work well for some, but it wasn't a win for me. The taste is slightly bitter/sour, but measured correctly in a small glass of water, the product can be consumed quickly without further problems. There is no bad aftertaste and this product doesn't upset my stomach like some supplements do. If I were new to this and absolutely put off by the possible bitter/sour taste, I would just add it to every protein shake I currently drink. The flavor completely disappeared when I added it to the vanilla chocolate smoothie. Do your own research and find out WHY L-Carnitine increases weight. If you notice your weight gaining with this product, STOP IT ASAP! Nobody wants to lose money, but nobody wants to gain weight when the goal is to lose weight, so listen to your body (or your weight).
