Our hamster loves it so much that he immediately starts chewing on the cute pastel edges! It's not the most durable, but the quality and smoothness make it very worthy! Unfortunately, like many others, our hamster knows how to run away. She's not the brightest lightbulb, but she found a way to get on the steering wheel by climbing on her back, using the kickstand and center axle as a ladder, LOL 😂 to try to push the case cover and gnawing the hell out of the ledge where the cover sits. Luckily we spotted them straight away and caught them in action so we had to put 2 5lb dumbbells on top of the tank for added security. With that being said; While annoying and noisy (the chewing, NOT the wheel itself), climbing on their backs, their need for speed, and running for 12/24 hours sometimes loosens the core and makes it wobbly. I have to take it out and tighten it again about every few weeks. Aside from the inconvenience; this is a big must have for a hamster, pretty well made, cute aesthetic, non slippery inside (and outside 🙄🤦‍♀️) for fun to run, easy build for the ensemble, safe size (which are pretty hard to find and that is another story inside me that I won't go into) great price! Owned somewhere since Christmas
