So I made do with having either hot water or filtered water. Not both. This is my third brand of filters that I have tried for my van. This has in particular a regulator to attach. Well I couldn't use it at all because it needed so little pressure so I had to buy an adapter from the hardware store because the fittings for connecting the filter are different than the size of your inlet hose. I will say that, the filter itself works EXCELLENT! The water quality is good. Feels good on the skin, pleasant taste. However, if you have a tankless water heater like I have, these tanks are set to a specific water pressure before firing. Ok, the filter worked great, the water heater worked great for about 2 weeks. Then the water pressure started to drop, very badly! Even filling the toilet takes some time. So this drop in pressure caused my water heater to give an error code instead of turning on. If I remove the filter, there are no more problems. I don't know how to work around this problem. I know water quality varies everywhere, but for the price paid ($80) I was hoping it would last much longer than 2 months. I don't think this is a good deal for the price. The body is shorter than household filter housings. I'm wondering if I can find a suitable filter that costs less and lets more water through. Yet again. The water filter does its job. But the water pressure was released too quickly for my van. If I had known that, I would not have bought it.
