The gloves are made of a relatively thick rubber (with a cotton lining) that holds up well to the sharp-edged utensils I handle every day. The extra large size makes it easy for me to put on and take off my gloves. An interesting feature I've never seen before is that the end of the gloves on the hand (not the hand) is coated with a sticky surface that holds the two gloves together when you store them. That means you'll never have to rummage through your desk drawer for a second glove - if you find one, you've found them both.
