I ordered these to wash and re-waterproof two horse blankets. I used to wash them with ordinary detergent and then learned the hard way that this destroys the waterproofing. Anyway this product arrived and I added 2 full caps to the washing machine tank. Then it was full. The bottle says you need 2 caps per jacket. Since the blankets are so much larger, I decided to add another cap to the fabric softener compartment. Then it was about half a bottle for 1 blanket. Put it on a regular Eco Warm cycle and it will remove most of the dirt from your duvet. The smell didn't get much better, but I didn't expect it to get rid of the horse smell. Place the duvet in the dryer as directed and let dry. I think it works in terms of duvet waterproofing recovery. Then, just to make sure the horse didn't get wet again, I sprayed them with a different spray. Now they both removed the water bead from the ceiling. One bottle is enough for 2 washes, for a total of 2 horse blankets. In general, not bad, happy with the purchase. I will be using it again next year as it removed most of the dirt from the comforters and made them waterproof.
