Review on πŸ₯§ Silver Fat Daddio's 10 x 1.5 Inch PIE-10 Pie Pan by Mark Meyer

Revainrating 2 out of 5

POOR DESIGN AND WRONG SIZE

First of all, this company, Fat Daddio's, tends to make top quality bakeware. I have many of these and would buy other items in a heartbeat, but this pan is disappointing. The shape is not like a regular pie pan. In my opinion it doesn't curve enough on the sides to be considered a cake pan. It looks more like a cake pan and is straighter on the sides than most cake pans. This size is wrong too. I've included some photos of the top and sides so you can compare it to a regular shaped pie pan. The actual size of the Fat Daddios pot, including the lip, is just under 10 inches, but the inner shaft (where the filling goes) is only 9.5 inches! Typically, pie pans are measured 10 inches on the inside and then a rim is added on the outside for the crust, which should be about 10.5 inches. In conclusion my professional opinion as a caterer and professional baker is the sizing is wrong which is important because it affects how many ounces it holds and the design is disappointing so I don't recommend it and it's coming back.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model
