Review on Perko 0963DP0CHR Horizontal Mount Light by Troy Coskillas

My old Perko headlights (13 years old) fogged up and I was trying to convert the bulbs to LED. This led to overheating of the body and even more cracking and discoloration of the lens. Bought a cheap fake with LED hoping I could at least use the lens as a spare. The shape is about the same, the base is pretty accurate, but they were so cheap I sent them back. The lens could not be exchanged either. Bought this set - it was expensive - but it's Perko so I know it will last. I just used a hood, lens and bulbs. The base was too firmly bonded to the boat to snap off without damaging the gelcoat. Also, I would have to re-glue everything. But the new lens hood and lenses make them brand new. And a non-LED bulb will not burn the case.
