I just got a new pair of these. I used to have a pair that I got specifically for cutting patchwork quilts. They worked great. Over the years I've put my iron on it and melted the handles. I received this new pair the other day. I wanted to use them last night. I cut through 4 layers of flannel. This pair will not work. He simply folds the fabric and pinches it. I tried another small pair of scissors that are not spring loaded. They cut great, but when you need to make hundreds of clips in one blanket, a spring is desirable. Must go back.
