Not like before

I just got a new pair of these. I used to have a pair that I got specifically for cutting patchwork quilts. They worked great. Over the years I've put my iron on it and melted the handles. I received this new pair the other day. I wanted to use them last night. I cut through 4 layers of flannel. This pair will not work. He simply folds the fabric and pinches it. I tried another small pair of scissors that are not spring loaded. They cut great, but when you need to make hundreds of clips in one…

Great if you've lost strength

I have an "overuse injury" in my dominant hand and these shears (and the larger version) were an absolute must for me. My right hand was paralyzed for a while and my left hand had very little strength, but these little gems worked incredibly well with my left and now that I have some mobility with my right hand. To give you an idea, my doctor measured my strength and I can only exert 4 pounds of strength with my right arm and 40 pounds of strength with my left arm. I can operate them with both…

Sharp blade and point. Good for small jobs or hard to reach areas

They work well for me for small jobs where I still need sharpness but don't need full size scissors. Cloth or cardboard to start cutting. The blades are also quite sharp. The outer edges are also a bit sharp because they are completely square. Be a little careful. The lock is stable. It's easy to do with your thumb. The grip is great. He could have used a little more outline, but that's respectable. All in all, a solid 4 stars for me. Don't forget to take advantage of Smile.Revain.com…

Does the job but poor design

These scissors are amazingly sharp and the spring does exactly what it is supposed to do. My biggest criticism of scissors is that the locking mechanism that is supposed to keep them closed is very poorly designed. I've had it for a little over a month (32 days) and have only been using it for a week and the locking mechanism has stopped working. So they remain open and I have two very sharp ends to contend with. When I finish my patchwork quilt, storage won't be nice and tidy. The locking…

These are my favorite scissors, but.

I like these scissors. They are SO SHARP when you first buy them, the spring helps ease the work your hands need to do and they are accurate which is AMAZING for small details like trimming machine embroidery thread or pieces of fabric. I couldn't find any other scissors. I crochet a lot, cut threads and cut fabric. and they just don't stay sharp after multiple projects, even titanium coated. After several projects, the blades get stuck in the fabric in certain places or don't even cut the…
