Installing this thing on the wall was a nightmare. Horror stories from other reviewers about poorly constructed beds bursting out of the wall made me fear God. Not to mention that this thing weighs a ton. You need to know a lot about the composition of your walls to get them right, that's all I can say. Other than that, my cat loves it and its happiness is worth making me want to shoot myself installing this thing. I'm not sure why this bed is so prohibitively expensive. Nice but NOT that nice. For the price, they should include mounting hardware for more than just wood walls. I found "drywall and anchor studs" to be the best options for my walls.
