Audio Technica is doing something with this cartridge. I've used others like the AT-95e and AT-120 but this one definitely outweighs its weight. Initially, the high frequencies seem exaggerated, but after a few hours of running everything calms down. This car is very well controlled and I no longer have the internal groove distortion problems that I had in the past. Another thing I like about this cart is that it's not too tall, which makes it easier to work with older turntables without adjusting arm height. I have a Sony PS-LX3 turntable and it sounds great. To the point that my other, more solid player is going on a short vacation. When this stylus wears out, Audio Technica offers the possibility to upgrade the stylus without having to buy a new cartridge.
