I want to start by reading a lot of reviews on different memory foam pillows before I choose this one. So I knew what people liked and disliked about this and other brands. Also, I came across this shredded memory foam pillow I bought at Sam's that was very expensive, which I found ridiculously heavy. My husband loves his but I hated mine which led me to Amazon. I bought 3 and gave each of my children and one for myself. We all love it! It's not too heavy, I thought it was heavier because my crushed memory foam was very heavy. It's much lighter than that. The pillowcase is very soft and this pillow doesn't need another cover, but I will put a waterproof cover on top of the baby pillows. I don't think I'll add one to mine, it's already very comfortable. I can't sleep on this pillow and I'm already a hot person so that's a plus. I get hot very quickly and my husband calls me a small heating pad so I was glad I didn't feel hot. We have a purple mattress which contrary to what they say can get hot especially in Texas 100+ Summers but as it's comfortable I can handle it. So I was glad this pillow didn't get hot! I sleep on my side and so does my son. My daughter sleeps on her stomach and this pillow is comfortable for all of us. It sits beautifully on my neck and helped relieve some of the pain in my neck even after the first night. Very helpful! he is something Incidentally, I've also used Messenger to relieve tension on my other pillow, but I did so for several weeks while looking for a replacement for my pillow. But this pillow definitely helped! My neck/head doesn't tilt when I sleep, so this definitely helped! I was surprised at how quickly it swelled up because it was flattened on arrival, but after a few minutes it got really big. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and will buy again in the future if this needs replacing.
