This is a great memory pillow. Very durable and perfect for my neck which is sensitive due to an old injury. This pillow had a very slight odor when first taken out of the bag but I let it air out for 24 hours and the odor was completely gone. I ordered this pillow after trying and returning a LUCID Lavender memory foam pillow which gave me a horrible chemical burn on my face from sleeping on it through two pillowcases one night - I love the smell of lavender chemicals, not from essential oils!

On a scale from soft to hard this pillow is really average. It has little drag but will still flatten under your head. It works well as a second pad on a hard lift. There is a slight smell when you first unpack it, but it goes away quickly. The material stays cool longer than regular memory foam, but it doesn't "cool" compared to a regular pillow.
