I use these bags very often. When I buy family packs of chicken or other meats on sale, I separate them with those packs. Then I freeze them in 1 liter ziplock vacuum bags. This allows the packaging to be portioned and vacuumed to avoid freezer burn. I can't find them in stores anymore, but the prices here are pretty good. They work very well with fresh fruit. When blueberries or strawberries are on sale, I buy a bunch and freeze them. I can use them frozen in smoothies or thaw them in the fridge. A word of caution. If you are thawing chicken or other meat in the refrigerator, place the bag in a plastic container as it will not seal properly. You don't want chicken juice spilling around in your fridge the next morning. I often keep the plastic containers that the luncheon meat comes in as thawing containers.
