Review on ๐Ÿงบ Upgrade Your Ironing Board with the Whitmor Pad-Elements Ironing Board Cover by Chris Laznovsky

It's fade resistant!

I iron a lot. damn much. Not only do I iron shirts (oh, we love cotton shirts), I also sew a lot, which means you iron as much as you sew. With permanently charred ironing board covers, even though I use distilled water in a spray. Bottle and dry iron, I've used up my share of ironing board covers. Mind you I have an ironing board that I bought over 35 years ago so it's metal, solid and big. Since I put this new ironing board cover on my ironing board, I've been ironing several pieces of clothing. I'm not thrilled that the elastic at the bottom doesn't have a drawstring to secure it firmly, but the real test comes when I'm ironing large pieces of fabric. I stroked the large upper part of the quilt and then a four meter piece. Fabric 108 inches wide. I was sure that when pulled it would climb over the case and break at the top as there were no cords underneath to secure it. I was wrong. This cover stayed in place perfectly. With my iron set to cotton/linen and ironed for over an hour, this duvet has stood the test of time. fits snugly against the top (narrow) part of the board. When ironing yokes, sleeves and other small items, those little waves can be a real nuisance. However, returning this isn't enough as it's much better (and cheaper) than the cases I bought locally.

Pros
  • Hold the cover to the ironing board with a strong elastic band.
Cons
  • Other.
