Update: I've been using this cable for a while, just changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars! The whole system was turned on and baked for a day. The pretty front soundstage with the old cable has literally "shifted" and opened up with the new cable. The speakers are definitely gone completely. The sound is very thin, detailed and fast. At first I was a little worried about the tonal balance; it is now very neutral and easy to hear. Even my wife noticed the sound improvement. It seems to be the best investment in my audio system. Original: I've been using some decent XLR cables between my preamp and power amp almost since I bought this power amp. While the combination was reasonable, I always felt it could be better. The soundstage wasn't very wide and the imagery was rather poor. I endured it for almost two years, because I was more engaged in another bad hobby - photography. I thought it was the preamp but didn't want to spend money on an upgrade. Long story short, I upgraded the (RCA) cable between my DAC/preamp and my amp for the system in my office. There was a noticeable improvement. So I thought I should do the same for the main system and this cable is quite cheap. You can immediately see that the scene is now wider and deeper. And day and night pictures are better. Now I can "seeβ individual instruments and players. One thing I'm not sure about yet is the tonal response. It will take time for the cable to break in and that's why it's only 4 stars. I will update later. But so far so good.
