I'm so glad I bought this box - I've argued between this size and the smaller 12" but I'm glad I did decided on this size. I needed one box for all the first aid items we have because every time my son or husband cuts himself etc I had to go through 3 different boxes (the ones you get in big stores). I wanted to be organized and safe. This box has a removable shelf and plenty of floor space - allowing you to store small items on top for easy access and large bandages etc. on the bottom. The plastic is strong and durable without being heavy, and there's a nice metal clasp with a snap ring next to it if you decide to add a padlock (depending on what you're storing in it). many items other than tools.
