As the name suggests, the threaded hole on the head of this broom does not mate well with standard broomsticks. I tried it first with a plastic broom handle and it barely screwed on. It seemed to hold up normally, but when I started using it the little handle in the head broke off. Luckily it didn't ruin my broomstick as only a small piece of the threaded end broke off. Then I tried a wooden broom handle and it screwed in a little further, though not all the way. I could use a broom with this pen though. So be careful; This thing can break the broom's plastic handle. Other than that it's a good hard brush/broom and I like the soft bumper. But the manufacturer should pay more attention to the size of the threaded hole.
