I bought the shutter remote in early September and never used it until we were ready to take the family photos I had planned for our Christmas card in December. Of course, I had the rare issue of our iPhones not recognizing the device, which I would have known had I tested it earlier. I contacted the seller even though I haven't returned it for a long time. The seller went out of their way to reply to my troubleshooting emails and finally realized that I must be a rare case of this problem. The seller immediately sent me a new remote control after exhausting all troubleshooting avenues. The new remote worked perfectly and was installed as described.
