Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Black Aluminum Utility Cargo Bike Trailer - Burley Flatbed by Anthony Heinrichs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great base for a beach wagon!

While some reviewers said the trolley was great for hauling stuff to the beach, I didn't think it was that way. The carriage is too narrow to place the chairs horizontally and the side rails are not high enough to support chairs placed on their sides or ends. However... for less than $25 for PVC and hardware, plus a piece of 1/2 inch thick 2 x 3 plywood. I was able to use "MacGyver" carts to meet my needs. I used 1/2" stainless steel screws to hold the PVC joints together, not glued, so my cart is collapsible too! Took it to the beach with six chairs, a boogie board, a beach umbrella, a portable folding table, and a cooler backpack .No problem towing it with my beach cruiser.I only drilled one hole for the entire project! It was in the link arm between the two brackets where it hooks onto the cart itself.I have a 3/8" hole in it drilled the linkage arm to allow a tether buckle to be threaded in to attach the cart to my bike when we leave it on the boardwalk and take things to the beach.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
