I will update my review if anything changes but it doesn't work. I put the batteries in the flashlight and pulled the battery tab out of the remote control. The light doesn't come on. I'm going to get a new battery for the remote and have my fingers crossed that this gets fixed. Also, there was no instruction manual. Update 12/28 - New batteries for the remote control have arrived. No change after I changed the batteries in the remote control. I have found that the light works when I plug it in and the remote can control it but only when plugged in. So the problem seems to be in the battery compartment. I know the batteries are brand new and I've checked to make sure the batteries are oriented correctly, so maybe a bad connection? I'll see what my wife wants to do and whether or not we can get it back. You might be ok if the option is enabled.
