Review on Airo Comfort Portable Conditioner 000BTU by Leslie Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Tickle me impressed

I'm always suspicious of portable air conditioners as I haven't had very good experiences in the past. Still, I'm all for this block, it was installed quickly and effortlessly, I don't think I had to swear and struggle with the window valve, the exhaust hose fits both the plate and block perfectly. After 30 minutes of using the device, the air temperature dropped significantly, and within 2 hours I had to adjust it back to more comfortable values. The moving fins inside the unit are a nice touch as they actually move the air, cooling the room and making the unit a bit more efficient. One of the biggest shocks for me was that the device worked for 12 hours, now it has turned on and off several times and I haven't had to drain it yet (that's my not-so-good thing from my opening statement) the remote control is simple and handy in the Use, it's also the only way to toggle the louver function on and off or change the unit of measure from degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius from a digital display. The functionality is simple: 3 AC settings, a dehumidifier and a basic fan function (when using a dehumidifier it is recommended to set a permanent drain to avoid emptying the machine every few hours). Special Note: It may take up to 3 minutes when the device is turned on for the actual cycle to begin. This is 100% normal and is designed to protect your investment. It is recommended to set the device to 65 and then set it to a higher comfortable setting. Depending on your window, you may need to trim the plastic piece that holds the exhaust pipe to fit properly. I found a rotating tool to quickly complete this process.
