This device streams HD video to your computer via the USB port. It does not work with all programs and permissions. Or maybe not with a weak system, but HD almost never performs as well or not at all on weak systems. I can use it with Livestream Studio and easily capture and record video at 1920x720 resolution. I can use it with OBS with no problems, but at 128x720. So it might not work for you BUT you should be able to get it working if your machine has juice. If you have an HDMI camcorder, it should be fine for streaming and recording video, depending on what software you're using. use. It comes with an adapter for a smaller USB profile and a pigtail. For the price, it's definitely worth trying. It is no problem for me.
