Based on the product information I was expecting to see plastic crochet/knitting markers with a tiny safety pin closure, making them useful for various projects. , and can easily be removed or placed elsewhere where a stitch marker is needed. This is how the product sold was described, and this is how the photos of products received by others showed. What I got is different. They are plastic and probably have the same nice color scheme and probably the same number as advertised. But these are not stitch markers, and they certainly cannot be used more than once, and they cannot be removed from a project except by breaking them. What I received as stitch markers are plastic rings, around 6-10mm diameter, round, with no locking mechanism that would allow the user to remove or replace them as needed and certainly not to be used more than once. As such, they are both significantly different from the product they were sold under and completely useless for the project I ordered them for. I need them for a thick wool sweater to mark where each stitch added or removed or a certain number of lines is. I think I could do some acrobatics by adding one of these every time a marker is needed, but that would leave a lot of useless and expensive plastic waste as the only way to remove it is to close it break. While roughly the same sized plastic markers with a safety pin-type opening and closing mechanism won't last forever, at least with caution they can be used across multiple projects and moved around as needed. the product I ordered there is not much room for doubt. When ordering these stitch markers please note that they cannot be used more than once per item, they cannot be removed by any means other than tearing them off and their imagery in the product description does not relate to the product you will receive.
