I bought this set to service several of my cars. I used to be able to use a C-clamp and a small block of wood to push in the caliper pistons, but that's changing. The calipers seem to be getting smaller and the brake line hoses are rear mounted and don't have much area to attach a C-clip. This tool or similar is a must have. Instructions are included but are a bit vague. The instructions suggest that your car's owner's manual list the caliper size so you know what surface size to use for the tool. The service manual can provide this, but not the owner's manual. You can easily determine the size visually, but it took me a few tries as some nozzles are almost the same size. The handle for tightening the tool is short. If it were a little longer it would provide a longer lever arm, but it would get the job done. It might not be quality for a professional who uses it every day, but it's a great tool for the DIYer who needs it from time to time. Overall I am very happy with the tool.
