VERY Pleasantly Surprised!

Granted, I've only had it a week, but I am loving this hammock so far! Have been wanting a hammock for ages, but finding a stand that's sturdy, affordable, and small enough to fit on my patio has been a challenge. Then I found this little baby.WHY I LOVE IT.• SIZE — It has a relatively small footprint, so it fits easily on my fairly small patio.• EASY ASSEMBLY — No tools required for assembly! Not only does that make it insanely simple to put together, it also makes it easy to move. If I want to bring inside or move it into the yard, it takes <2 minutes to disassemble and <2 minutes to put back together. NOTE: Watch your fingers with those snap buttons!• STABLE — One of the biggest selling points for me is the fact that the hammock connects to the frame at 2 distinct points on each end, which helps keep the "bed" portion flat and increases stability. Many traditional hammocks gather into a single connection point at each end, which often results in the fabric wrapping around the user like a cocoon. While I do like the gentle rocking of traditional hammocks, the added stability makes this a lot more sturdy, better for reading, and doesn't wreak havoc with my positional vertigo. ;) What's more, the adjustable hoof-like feet keep the frame flush with the ground, so I've yet to experience "wonky-table" syndrome with this hammock – I've used it on both my cement patio and in the yard, and in both locations, it's incredibly stable, even when placed on uneven surfaces.• STURDY — While I'm only 160 lbs, the fact that it's rated for up to 500 lbs is comforting, since I often worry about the added stress placed on a hammock while getting in or repositioning. And, with all this self-quarantining, I'll probably add a few pounds. Regardless, the assembly seems remarkably sturdy.• ADJUSTABLE — The suspension chains are adjustable. So if you prefer a tighter "bed" with less droop, just move the chain up or down a few links, and voila!• BUILT-IN STORAGE — The hanging pockets are a godsend. I LOVE that I don't need to worry about where to put my phone, or my book, or my water bottle, or whatever. Including this as a standard accessory was a GREAT idea.• MACHINE WASHABLE — The material is machine washable, which is a huge selling point for me, particularly during pollen season!• QUILTED MATERIAL — The fabric is surprisingly comfortable and seems remarkably durable. Unlike other hammocks I've used over the years, I'm not NEARLY as paranoid about tearing or stretching.ONE PETTY POINT TO PONDER.• PILLOW PANCAKE — The inclusion of the pillow is a nice touch, but for me, it's more decorative than functional. It adds some nice visual contrast, and the gingham pattern makes it look particularly relaxing and homey. But from a usability perspective, it's kinda "meh" – the padding is flat and incredibly thin, so it doesn't actually provide a whole lot of support. And the wide nylon straps are so thick that they're cumbersome to tie, making it difficult adjust their length to move the pillow up or down on the bed to the desired position.IN SUM.Highly recommended! Not only is it a steal at this price point, but it has some awesome features that other hammocks just don't have. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat!

Pros
  • It can be used indoors as well as outdoors
Cons
  • The stand can be too heavy for some people to move around by themselves
