Review on ๐ŸฆŒ Precision Hunting with Simmons Hunting Laser Rangefinder: Volt & Venture Models by Jabari Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Precise and simple entry-level device.

I only used it one day. I can't confirm how well it stands up to use. But I can tell you that it works as advertised. I was surprised at the accuracy. I tested it on a target at a known distance of 100 yards and it was accurate. It's a budget device, so don't expect any frills. What will it do. Measure accurately in yards and meters. The different types of targets and the allowable distances for those types of targets are indicated on the packaging and in a very brief guide. It works in low light as long as you have enough light to see the readings in the optics. Attention, the optics are not backlit, the display is not backlit (not at this price). I had no problem using it at dusk. One thing to note is that it says it has 4x magnification. I think more like 2x. Maybe it's just me, but I'd have a hard time catching a deer 200 yards away with it unless it was outdoors and in a contrasting background behind the deer. But it will work. Conclusion, for the price I would recommend this rangefinder. It's accurate, although a bit difficult to use without the display backlight. If you are looking for a basic entry-level rangefinder for hunting. It will work. I'm not a golf expert, I don't play golf, but I suspect it would be difficult for me to fly something as small as a flag on a pole at a realistic distance. And the last remark. I bought this after looking at various reviews and Simmons seems like a good name for rangefinders. Guess time will tell. With limited experience I would recommend this as a very basic entry level rangefinder.
